Plesk and PowerToys fans, rejoice! A new version of PowerToys (v5.1.0) is now available. We’ve crushed some minor bugs and did bit of performance improvement and added a long awaited feature: PowerToys SMS Alert for Mailqueue.
Now, how does this feature help me you say?
Well, first of all, if your server’s mailqueue is full, there is no way you can get notified because well, even notification emails are in the queue, hence not delivered.
In this case, the SMS Alert for Mailqueue can (and will!) save you a load (pun intended) of time by alerting you the mailqueue is full by sending you a SMS.
SMS Alert is configurable – you can set the threshold at which the service will send you and email. The SMS Alert for Mailqueue is particularly useful your server is running CMS that can send out a lot of emails in a short amount of time—either legitimately or not.
SMS Alert for Mailqueue uses Amazon SNS (you will need to create an account) to send out the messages.
Push notifications for mailqueue alerts are also available via OneSignal. Signing up and using OneSignal is free of charge and you will receive PowerToys notifications in the browser.
So if you’re a sysadmin with Plesk servers, go ahead and install PowerToys from here.
V5.1.0 is a free upgrade for existing clients.
